Colewell - a movie shot in our hometown!

Written and directed by Tom Quinn and produced by Matthew Thurm, Colewell stars Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark and Animal House) and was shot throughout Noxen and our surrounding area in late 2017.

Colewell paints a picture of rural American life, according to Quinn, who is the Film & Television Program Director at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  When news comes that Colewell, Pennsylvania’s post office—and community gathering place—is to close, Nora (Allen) and the residents of the town reflect on their future.

The film was the recipient of The Film Lab award in 2019. Winners of the competition traveled to the Sun Valley Film festival, where the work-in-progress film was screen-tested for audience feedback.
Check out the IMDB page for the film.
